Typethics is a print and online magazine about the cultural and ethical implications that typography and type design have on the world, our lives and even history.
Through my research, I discovered that type can have (and has had) an impact on life, history, politics and so forth. I read a lot of literature and articles about the topic at hand and out of this research I distilled six articles that each tackle a different topic concerning the influence of the ethical or unethical use of typography and type design. This magazine hopes to offer an interesting perspective on the world of typography and how it affects us. Furthermore, Typethics discusses these topics so that young designers can learn about the ethical responsibility that they have towards their clients and consumers.
